How to ask posters for par2 file?

Hey guys, a newbie here.

So i've downloaded a file along with its par2 file. After joining the parts and repairing the missing blocks using quickpar, i still have 14 missing blocks to go and i'm out of par2 file. Your tutorial was great at explaining me the how-tos, but my problem is i dont know how to ask the poster to post more blocks. Help please...

I'm using xnews as my newsreader and alt.binz as my downloader(if this is the correct term).
I've found the group that the poster belongs to but when i click on the name of the group, it lists all the things available to download (this is using xnews). What i'm looking for exactly is how to contact the poster and ask him for some blocks.

Hi Celcius,

You should post a request for extra par2 files in the newsgroup. I don't think you can do that with Alt_binz. You would need a "proper" newsreader for that. In principle even outlook and/or Thunderbird would do the trick.

Then you must hope the posters checks the group for requests. Nowadays that seems to be a bit problamatic though.

If the poster belongs to a usenet community you can try to contact him through a forum belonging to that community.
